The high-tech industry, like the semiconductor and analytical industry, do have very high cleanliness requirements on certain components and assemblies. The different grades or levels, as written down in the cleanliness requirements, demand clean surfaces with respect to particles, stains, outgassing and even minimum amounts of certain chemical elements on the surfaces of these components. This requires wet chemical precision cleaning processes with a better and more reproducible performance.
The complexity of the cleanliness requirements needs a clear modular composition of the wet chemical precision cleaning process. This presentation explains how such a process can be built up successfully.
Technical Presentation
The architecture of advanced high purity precision cleaning processes
After graduating from Eindhoven University of Technology (TUe), he started his career as Process Engineer R&D at ODME BV (Optical Disc Manufacturing Equipment) in Eindhoven. In this function, he combined R&D work with supporting foreign customers on site (Taiwan, USA and Germany) working with ODME machines.
In 1995, he moved to Stork Screens BV and worked there as Project Leader/Manager Research & Development, responsible for the process developments regarding electroplating, heat treatment and thin layer technology.
In 2000 Roger Theunissen founded RTC&P Consultancy & Projectmanagement BV/CeConEx, an independent engineering company in the field of precision cleaning and contamination control. CeConEx now has extensive experience in advising, innovating and training in the field of Precision cleaning and Contamination control.
